Baker Troll - 6 Cam Nightingale Singing Bird
btsingbd This fine Baker-Troll singing bird, ca. 1880 has 6 cams of bird whistle for the longest and most complicated warble of any of the singing birds produced. The dimensions of this piece are 19" high and approximately 10" across the front and 8" deep. The bird is real and in nice condition. The wooden base has fine, excellent condition inlay with a very nice finish. The bellows were rebuilt by an expert 6 years ago to insure a full, lusty rendition of the Nightingales "calls". The strength of the bellows is good but may need recovering in another year or so. We can do that for you for a modest fee. Few of these pieces were built; even fewer are available for purchase.
