Polyphon Grand Musical Hall Clock
9-1/2' Tall -  SOLD

Would you like to own one of only two known Polyphon Grand Musical Hall Clocks to top off your collection in your high ceiling display room? Just take a look at page 163 (right side of page) in Bowers, "Encyclopedia of Automatic Musical Instruments" to find the largest musical box ever made by any maker. This extraordinary musical box, with a 24-1/2 inch Polyphon disc movement, was completely restored in England in 1993.

The mechanism shows no sign of repairs but does have several spots of minor rusting. This double-comb musical box with 8-day clock movement will perform, every hour on the hour (about 15 performances on one musical box winding) or on "command" by inserting an English penny (many English coins included).

Access to the extra discs is by the storage drawer door located on the left side of the base. Twelve pristine 24-1/2 inch discs are included with this instrument.

The pictures speak for themselves. If you want a huge musical box in excellent condition, contact us soon.

Inventory Item #17 on the "Availibility and Price List".
