After producing the most memorable and popular jukeboxes in the United States for over 40 years, Wurlitzer discontinued US production in 1974. The final production model in 1974 remains highly collectible today with its great styling that characterized the Wurlitzer machines. Wurlitzer (US) then focused on their work in the space program, as did many other makers of entertainment devices.
In 1990, the German Division of Wurlitzer revitilized the market by producing a Wurlitzer 45-rpm and CD jukebox. Gone forever was the 78 rpm version so popular in the 1930s and 1940s. However, they copied the world famous 1946 Wurlitzer "bubbler" case but installed state-of-the-art electronics. This includes a powerful 200-watt stereo amplifier with modern heavy-duty, full-range speakers. The case is a perfect duplicate of the 1946 model, complete with eight channels that "bubble" while the music spins.
The wholesale price has nearly doubled since the "1015" was reintroduced. We have heavily discounted the full retail price so you can consider one for your recreation, business or music room. But don't wait too long. The price seems to increase daily.
