A recent purchase has been unbelieveable. As many well-known collectors reach their "golden years", they begin selling the musical treasures that they have loved for many years. Item 257 is such a treasure.
The pictures tell it all. This item is a Mermod Frere, 6-cylinder interchangeable musical box with matching table, all in "mint" condition. The box measures 32" wide and 15" deep. The matching table (with storage for 6, 8-tune each cylinders, 11-1/2" long), has dimensions of 45" wide, 25" deep and 29" high.
The mechanisms are "clean as a pin" and the case and table are beautiful. If you are looking for the "perfect" musical box with nearly 50 different tunes, this is the one for you. The Swiss Mermod musical boxes are known for their clean, mellow sound and this one is no exception. It is looking for another good home and is clearly worth your consideration.
