As most collectors already know, original Dutch street organs are registered with the Holland government. Thus they are impossible to legally remove from the Netherlands. So, in 2003, our shoppe commissioned famous builders in Holland to create a magnificent 56-key Dutch Street Organ (styled after the Carl Frie organs). It was built with three beautiful, Dutch-carved, original articulating figures. The organ is now finished in the Dutch tradition and is truly wonderful. Its registered name is the "Three Roses", in honor of our three grandchildren..... Nathan age 7.....Benjamin, age 4 and "little" Etsu, age 1
The organ builders are the latest of family builders, going back for five generations. For over 100 years, this family has produced some of the finest organs, in the Dutch tradition, ever produced. Their shoppes in Holland have been visited several times and they are truly magnificent builders. Using only proven, age-old techniques, the emerging Dutch Street Organ sounds and facades are incredible.
(Click on the Dutch Street Organ Center, USA on our home web page, for further information about these wonderful builders / rebuliders.)
We have decided to offer this huge, magnificent organ with just a MIDI system and blower instead of leather covered pumps, a book reader and expensive books. As a result, we can provide a magnificent organ with spectacular, "moving" figures and facade at a fraction of the usual high price for Dutch-made instruments.
The organ comes with over 100 wonderful, (+) fully arranged melodies. They are all well known (my selectons) with traditional Dutch tunes that will knock your "socks off". There are hundreds of additional tunes available at just pennies a tune. This organ is reliable, a solid perfomer and will run consistently "forever"!!!! What more could you ask, eh?
To really inhance the performance of this instrument, a rank of: o Trombones o Trumpets o and metal glocks has been added.
It's performance of "Trumpeter's Holiday" is simply spectacular.
The interior is walnut and loaded with precussion, pipes and all the usual extras. (Don't forget the huge, up-front glock. The organ is fully "registered" to call for the appropriate pipes, glock and percussion when needed.)
To finish off the organ, the facade is equipped with three hand-carved, wooden traditional Dutch organ figures.
This organ will be in our inventory (in the US) by 9/15/04. This piece should go very fast. Just let us know if interested. If we "fall in love with it", it may be taken off the market for several years. So just let us know very soon if you are truly interested.
