Mills Violanos for sale are quickly "disappearing" around the world at outrageously high prices. We have just acquired a pristine, fully original single violin instrument with 20 playable rolls. It has the original AC/DC convertor and was "playing" when the owner died several years ago. This instrument comes from a climate area that insures that there has been little effects from heat and / or humidity. In addition, for over 40 years, the home was climate-controlled year around.
This instrument has had only one owner since it was acquired in the 1920's and has received "tender loving care" since that time. The aging widow has now sold it to us to be "loved" by another collector.
It is coin operated with a "ton of playable rolls". It is in a stained oak case with quartered oak doors and trim. The remaining oak case is highly figured suggesting that it might also be quartered oak.
Since we are marketing our entire collection of some 350 pieces, we have elected to make this violano available as unrestored until April 15, 2006. It will then be fully inspected and adjusted and the selling price increased $4,000.
