This wonderful German Black Forest clock contains eight trumpets. A very few clocks with up to 12 trumpets were produced in the Black Forest but we have never seen or heard one. The tune produced every hour on the hour is the introduction to the "William Tell Overture" (the "Lone Ranger" theme song). One of the bone hands is a replacement carving (in bone). This is a very large, heavy clock, deserving a "place of honor" in any clock collection.
