Nicole Freres Keywind Musical Box (ca 1845) SOLD

Cylinder measures:
13-1/4" long and 2-1/4" in diameter.
The box has been cleaned and lubricated by our Shoppe technicians. The comb is bright and clean with 96 teeth, none of which are damaged and none have been previously repaired.
All brass is bright after careful cleaning.
The serial number of this musical box is 39074. Nicole Freres is stamped in the brass bedplate and on the one piece musical comb. The case has been cleaned and appears to have the original finish. Consult the pictures for the case appearance.
The tune card is original and complete. The musical box is in excellent playing condition. There is one metal damper missing in the mid-range.

The side of the keywind has the usual three levers. (1) is used for quick stop to prevent a run. The middle (2) lever is used as "on" and "off". The third (3) level is used for "repeat" or "play all eight tunes in order".
