Do you know where there is another rare Frati full Orchestrion like this? This piece came from Europe in the early 1970's and awaited restoration until we acquired it several years ago. This piece has now been restored to be a FULL orchestrion, complete with bass drum (with tymphany beaters, snare drum, triangle, wood block, castanets, rosewood xylophone, three ranks of pipes (flute, clarinet, violin) 13 note bells, piano (of course) and much more.
The colorful silver and golden glass panels were restored to their original beauty by "rediscovering" the original process. Original-style lamps with glass bead fringes (as shown) were found in Switzerland to finish out this magnificent restoration.
