Are you tired of listening to the "huffing, chuffing and squealing" of the typical air calliope? About 12 years ago, Mike Hanchett wanted the perfect 58-note calliope so he designed and built two magnificent instruments. One he used at the Walbash, Indiana Band Organ Rally in 1990. Serial # 1, now in our inventory, produced beautiful, full, mellow calliope music that filled the downtown streets. A well- known builder of calliopes, upon hearing the wonderful music, purchased all rights to the Hanchett 58-pipe calliopes so no more would ever be produced.
This calliope with internal, adjustable speed (volume) blower and roll frame speed control, combine to produce the most wonderful music ever heard from a calliope. The volume range allows playing inside or out.
The pipes and case are in perfect condition. On the front is a slide whistle for "wolf calls" as pretty ladies pass by. Although never needed, there is a calliope tuning tool included. If you love the "circus sounds" of a great calliope, you will want this one right away. Remember, this is the only one for sale in the world; only two will ever be available.
