A review of the attached pictures reveal the rarity of this instrument in such fantastic condition. The case measures a HUGE 45 inches wide, 16 inches high and 19 inches deep. The chiming clock in the front middle of the Bremond is 7 inches across the face. The clock keeps nearly perfect time, chimes on the hour and can also activate the musical box each hour, if desired. The exterior case is flawless, beautifully restored, very nice banding around the case and large, ornate handles on both ends.
Inside, the organ has twenty-three organ notes, accompanied by a double comb, with 66 teeth (total). There is no evidence that the combs ever needed repair. The 14 inch cylinder has been repinned and contains 12 wonderful melodies. No need to search your memory for a title since an original tune card is with the instrument. The two, very large spring barrels provide the power needed by organ boxes to give a smooth, strong performance.
The Bremond musical boxes are famous for their brilliance and "bell-like" renditions. Perhaps that is the secret to this particular organ box. The blend of musical box and organ is perfect.
This box deserves to be in the finest museum or collection. I expect this one will go fast so let us know quickly.
